Today is our dear friend Lesley Nicol’s birthday!
Viewers might know her best as the well-loved Mrs Pattmore of Downton Abbey, but to us and our rescued bears she is so much more…
Lesley has been by Animals Asia’s side for many years. She’s stood by us through our challenges, our heartbreaks, our celebrations, and achievements, and has supported us every step of the way.
She is not only an Animals Asia ambassador, she is the proud and loving guardian of Pickle Nicol, who now lives happily at our China bear sanctuary after moving from a large bile farm last year.
And she is a supporter, advocate and true friend to every animal we’ve rescued and are yet to rescue.
Lesley, from the bottom of all our hearts, thank you for everything you do for the bears, we would not be here today without your support, kindness, and friendship. From every one of us – and of course, all the bears, elephants, dogs and cats – we wish you the happiest of birthdays and we can’t wait to see you again soon! 😍
